Felicity is surpose to have 6 pin curels in total I know that. My Felicity has 4 in the front and I cannot locate the other 2 to make 6 pincurels in total. She is quite old she is from 1993 and her hair is decent condtion a little dry. She has had a downt dunk already but that did not really help. What can I do to make her hair softer and restore her pin curls nicely. Anyone have any suggestions what I can do. I do not want to send her to the doll hosptial either because they will replace her head and give her a Mattel head no way, then what be the point of my PM Lissie. Someone please help me, I'm so sad. If you really can't find the last two pincurls, they may have been (gasp) cut off, and there's not a great deal to do about that. I have a '93 Lissie, and she looks nice with only 4 pincurls showing. (I just located the last two, down in front of her ears, but not curled.)
To curl up her pincurls, just dampen with cool water, curl them up around something small, like a pencil, flatten them and secure with bobby pins. Let dry overnight, and viola! Curls for Lissie!
To soften her hair, try the Downey dunk again, and then the steaming method on the justmagicdolls.com site. All the details you need are there. Good luck with Lissie!

I read somewhere that the west german felicities only had 4 pin curls. I have no idea if this is accurate or not. I do know that the bottom ones by her ears are very hard to find if they have been combed into her hair. They are at the very top of her ears and are usually alittle stiffer then the rest of her hair. Good luck! And definately steam her hair or buy the wig conditioner made especially for modacrylic wigs. I heard it's better then downy at restoring softness and shine.

I have had several early PM Felicity dolls now. Most of them have 6 pin curls, but I have had two now that only had 4. There were no cut hairs or uncurled pin curls. I believe that some of the Lissie dolls only had 4 curls to start out with.

I want to say that my Lissie only has 4, but I will search through her hair later on to make sure, she is a West German Lissie for sure, so it is possible she only has 4.
I'd Downy Dunk overnight if her hair is really messed up. Also, I store Lissie with a tissue wrapped around her hair secured with elastic bands to prevent her hair from getting more tangled. I don't know if yours is displayed, but her hair is great with the wrap if you merely store her away.
